Our veterinary team is dedicated to the health and well-being of your pet.
MEDICAL CARE AND PREVENTIVE HEALTH
We recommend an annual examination with an emphasis on preventable illness. Depending on age, lifestyle, and environment, each pet may require different approaches. During the visit, a complete examination will be provided and any concerns addressed. As your pet ages, different emphasis may be necessary. That may require blood work encompassing evaluation of all organ functions in order treat current conditions and to prevent future problems.
We provide a variety of surgery that includes most routine surgery, orthopedics and soft tissue and we will refer you to a surgical specialist if necessary. We utilize isoflurane gas anaesthesia with pulse oximeter monitoring to ensure your pet has a safe and problem free surgery and a speedy and comfortable recovery. We provide intravenous fluids as appropriate and pain medication post operatively if required.
We provide an oral exam during our annual evaluation and will advise on whether a dental cleaning is advised. Your pets overall health can be extremely negatively impacted by poor dental hygiene. Also a clean and healthy mouth is much nicer to be around!
Our dental scaling and polishing is done under general anaesthesia with the same attention to your pets safety and recovery as with any surgery. Extractions, if necessary, will be discussed with you prior to the dental at the time of admission. Most dentals will be a day procedure with your pet going home the same day.
We believe that the importance of dental care should not be avoided due to cost and we will attempt to provide this service at an affordable price. Ask us for a quote.
RADIOLOGY AND ULTRASOUND
Our up to date x-ray and ultrasound equipment will provide excellent in-hospital evaluation of most conditions. Occasionally, we might advise that a radiologist consultation may be required.
CAT BOARDING (DAY ONLY)
We are pleased to provide Feline daytime boarding as space permits. We have comfortable cat condos that allow them to perch. Unfortunately we are unable to provide overnight boarding at this time.
Medicated baths for cats and dogs are provided and dematting of cats is available. Some cats may require sedation especially for "Lion Cuts".
Part of treating medical conditions may include feeding prescription diets. There are a wide variety of different foods available from selected manufacturers. RoyalCanin/Medi-Cal, Hills Prescription Diets, Science Diets and Purina Veterinary Diets are just a few. To ensure your food is in stock, please complete this form 3-5 business days before running out of food.
